Welcome to Carlsbad

Carlsbad is an idyllic coastal city located just north of San Diego and adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. It offers a unique combination of beach living, small-town charm, and urban amenities that appeal to any looking for a community-centered slice of paradise.

The railroad's arrival in 1904 led to growth in Carlsbad, and in 1952 it was officially incorporated as a city. Carlsbad grew steadily throughout the 1950s and 1960s and has since become one of Southern California's most popular tourist destinations.

Today, downtown Carlsbad is home to numerous high-end shopping centers and malls. These buildings feature an array of architectural styles, from modern glass and steel structures to more traditional Spanish colonial designs. Many of the shopping centers are designed with elements from both styles, creating an exciting mix of old and new, much like the vibe of the city itself.
